The public is welcome to a Books Unlimited Book Sale sponsored by the CMH Auxiliary. There will be a wide selection of books in Conference Room A on the third floor of the Health Center, 740 South Main Street in Cheboygan.
The sale takes place Monday, June 1, from 9am to 4pm, and Tuesday, June 2, from 7am to 12 noon.
Lo-Ann Bur
A popular health talk for girls between the ages of 8 and 13 (and their support persons), will be presented Tuesday, June 2, from 7pm-8pm in Conference Room A of the Cheboygan Memorial Health Center, located at 740 South Main Street.
The talk will be presented by Jean Oram, M.D. and cover the changes that take place during puberty. the program will include information about the physical and emotinla aspects of growing up and will include short videos pertaining to topics being addressed.
Girls and their support persons (Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, etc.) are encouraged to attend the talk to help understand the complexities of the changes taking place in their bodies.
There is no charge for this program, but registration is required. To register, please call by Friday, May 29, (231) 627-1232.
"Becoming A Woman" is sponsored by the Comuunity Relations Committee of the Cheboygan Memorial Hospital Development Council. This committee also sponsors the "KidQuest on the Road" health and safety programs in area elementary schools.
